Molecular diagnostics experience, applied to a new challenge

MiND Biosciences has developed an epigenetic biomarker platform with an initial focus on MND/ALS. Our purpose is to turn molecular discoveries into information that could improve how neurodegenerative disease is understood and measured.
Founded by John Melki and Doug Millar, MiND brings together experience in molecular diagnostics, assay development and commercialisation with research expertise in neurodegeneration.

John Melki
John brings experience in building and leading a molecular diagnostics business. As the former Chief Executive Officer of Genetic Signatures, he helped guide the development and commercial growth of the company. At MiND, he leads the business as it advances its biomarker platform and explores development partnerships.

Doug Millar
Doug brings extensive experience in molecular diagnostics research and assay development. As the former Chief Scientific Officer of Genetic Signatures, he helped advance molecular testing technologies towards commercial application. He is the inventor on over 40 patent applications. At MiND, he leads the scientific programme connecting biomarker discovery with validation and assay development.

Dr Sam Brennan
Sam brings a decade of research experience in neurodegeneration and is a co-founder of GeneUS. His background adds to MiND’s research capability as the company investigates disease-associated molecular signatures and their potential as biomarkers.

Guided by scientific expertise
Our Scientific Advisory Board brings expertise across epigenetics, neurology, neuroscience, molecular biology, virology and immunology. Its guidance supports our research priorities and development strategy.
A practical development focus
We are building the evidence needed to move from promising molecular findings towards potential diagnostic applications. That means testing biological relevance, developing reliable measurement approaches and working with collaborators who can help advance the science.

Partner with us
MiND Biosciences is committed to advancing biomarker discovery through collaboration. We welcome opportunities to work with researchers, clinicians, industry partners and investors who share our vision for earlier, more precise diagnosis.
